2016 Ford Super Duty For Sale In Saskatoon
There's certainly no lack of choice or capability when it comes to the current full-size truck market, which could go some way towards explaining why they're proving increasingly popular with an ever-widening audience. No matter what job or task you have in mind, there's going to be one or probably more trucks out there today that are perfect for the job. But when you see the current and historic sales figures for the Ford F-Series both here and in the USA, it really does become difficult to look beyond them towards anything else at all. If the staggeringly successful F-150 isn't quite big enough and capable enough for what you need, the 2016 Ford Super Duty is ready and waiting to take up where its light-duty little brother leaves off.
The 2016 Ford Super Duty comes in F-250 and F-350 forms and they're models that been tried and tested for some time now, but there are still a couple of changes for the 2016 model year. Cold weather areas will be pleased to see a standard supplemental cab heater installed to keep things warm when the temperature drops, and there the option of a four-corner LED strobe warning light kit for fleet vehicles. There are also a couple of new exterior colours that have been added too, which go by the names of Shadow Black and Race Red.
There are two engines available to select between with the 2016 Ford Super Duty, but there really isn't any need for further options when the level of capability offered by the two engines is as high as it is here. The standard engine in the Super Duty pickup range is a 6.2-liter gasoline unit that develops 385 horsepower and 405 lb.-ft. of torque, where the power is then sent to your choice of either the rear or all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. However, if that's not quite enough because you're going to be towing or hauling heavy loads up steep hills and maybe even at altitude, there's also a stunning 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 diesel for you to go with. The 440 horsepower it develops is impressive enough as it stands, but it's the simply incredible 860 lb.-ft. of torque the turbo diesel produces you'll benefit from most when the job at hand gets really serious. Unsurprisingly, that's a best-in-class torque rating for the burly Ford.
The diesel powerplant also offers best-in-class fuel economy to make it an even more attractive proposition. If the incredibly powerful diesel engine is a little too much for your particular requirements but you still want impressive fuel economy, there's even a CNG/Propane prep package for the gasoline unit featuring hardened engine intake valves and valve seats and bi-fuel manifold.
Choosing the right engine option is just the start of the choices offered to buyers by the 2016 Ford Super Duty though, and the potential for building just the right truck for your needs is almost endless. As well as the two engines, there are three cab formats, long and short wheelbases, two different bed sizes, five trim levels, 11 exterior colors and eight interior colors, there are also numerous available options and packages.
With a maximum towing capability of 18,325 kg when properly specified and a maximum payload of 3,198 kg, the 2016 Ford Super Duty in its F-250 and F-350 forms truly is a truck to be reckoned with.
