2017 Ford Super Duty for Sale in Saskatoon
Extreme capability, advanced technologies and surprising luxury all come together with the 2017 Ford Super Duty. As a heavy-duty truck, it delivers big when it comes to towing and hauling capability, without sacrificing fuel efficiency. The amazingly diverse lineup of 15 models provides a range of onboard conveniences and useful features, so you can get the perfect setup for your needs.
2017 marks a complete redesign for the Super Duty line. Everything from the chassis to the engine options and cab have been altered. You can get a variety of bed lengths and cab sizes, depending on which of the models you select. The sheer variety is amazing, allowing you to customize your truck with ease.
Ford provides two different engines for the Super Duty line. First is a gas-powered 6.2-litre V-8 that is Flex Fuel compatible. It's rated at 385 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. Thanks to extensive tuning, low-end torque is potent, with delivery staying potent through the middle of the RPM range.
The other option is a B20-capable 6.7-litre Power Stroke turbo diesel V-8. Performance is extreme with this option, thanks to a peak 440 horsepower and 925 lb.-ft. of torque. Many innovations make this kind of output possible, such as placing the turbocharger in between the cylinder banks, an inboard exhaust manifold and a graphite iron engine block, instead of traditional cast iron.
Both engines are paired with a TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission. A tow-haul mode helps to reduce gear hunting when you're traveling through hilly territory.
What you can do with the Ford Super Duty is truly awe-inspiring. Conventional towing capacity is amazing at a maximum 21,000 lbs. (9,525 kg). Using a 5th wheel boosts that number to 27,500 lbs. (12,474 kg). Adding a gooseneck elevates it even higher to 32,500 lbs. (14,742 kg).
Back up while towing with greater confidence, thanks to the available trailer reverse guidance system. Cameras embedded in the side mirrors provide a commanding view of what's behind the truck and trailer, while visual guides are displayed in the centre screen. This setup helps prevent simple accidents.
Payload capacity for the Super Duty is amazing as well. The truck can handle up to 7,630 lbs. (3,461 kg). Ford made this possible by shedding 350 lbs. of body weight and stiffening up the frame considerably.
Not only is the Ford Super Duty rugged and capable, it also can be loaded with the sorts of conveniences you'd expect in any modern vehicle. One is the adaptive steering system, which changes the steering ratio as the truck speeds up or slows down. Another is an available blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, so drivers are warned about other vehicles they can't see.
As a vehicle designed to work hard, Ford can include auxiliary upfitter switches that are installed in the factory. Six switches are included in the setup, with 2 40-amp switches and 4 25-amp switches. This allows you to add aftermarket auxiliary equipment like a snow plow without having to add anything to the electrical system.
Ford has included many other clever features in the Super Duty. Schedule an appointment to see them in action.
